The adult baboon was resting upon one of the branches of his home. Observing a few of the drawings that he had with him that dated back to the time that he was around the young child. Each one had their names he knew them all, as they turned around the tree trunk as he sought out more room to note down each lion and lioness as they were around. There were generations with the offspring as well. He could make out the two brothers Scar and Mufasa and how they branched off into their own families. With Zira and Kovu, Vitani but the other family members if she had any were unknown. On the other side there was Simba, Nala, Kiara, Kopa, and Koda. All of which belonged in the same family. But under one of the lions there was a small mark on it, and a few of these lions had these marks on it announcing that they had passed on to the next life. He hoped maybe one day he could talk to them in the afterlife for guidance of his own. But a few of these marks were left unknown that is if they really were dead. He disliked those marks, but knew that in his own time that would happen to him in the future.
Hopefully however it wouldn't happen for a long time. He wanted to see the Pridelands grow again and thrive like it had when the time of Mufasa being young again. Those were good days, there was very little fear to worry about amongst the lionesses and lions. There they could be at peace. Hopefully that peace would return to them. "So much is unsaid these days. Not even the members of the former kings and queens are speaking up these days. Rafiki wonders why. Of course Rafiki doesn't have the answer to everything. The answer may come to Simba or someone else." He suggested to himself as he spoke softly. Trying not to wake up another nearby animal as if they were right next to him. Looking through the branches he noticed how late it had gotten. The sun had faded from the sky and stars took their place. "Another long night and a short day." He muttered to himself once more.

((Mind if I? ^.^)) In her adulthood, Makima rarely wandered far from Pride Rock, but there was something playing on her mind that made her unable to rest properly. The light brown lioness was deeply troubled by recent events surrounding one of the new additions to the Pridelands and hoped to gain some valuable advice from her mentor. Away from her father and the rest of the pride. Her pace was quick, trotting gracefully along the path, which was created by Simba, with her head low and ears back; brown tuft almost motionless behind her. She didn't want to be seen out so late. It would only provoke questions which Makima was not ready to answer.
Rafiki, the very same baboon that counselled the great Mufasa, was the one and only friend that Makima felt comfortable confiding in. It wasn't often that Makima would speak up about anything that bothered her, but as the matter concerned not only herself and her father, but another innocent life as well. She didn't want to worry any of her pride - any more than they probably already were - and thought that, considering he found the 'issue', Rafiki was best option. The young cub Ventus caused Makima a great deal of concern. Coupled with a naturally guilty conscience, the lioness was driven to seek advice. She was worried in case the cub had a home somewhere else and that his family were missing him. Not that Makima wanted to lose Ventus, especially since her father grew more attached to him every day. But she couldn't help but feel almost saddened that his parents may be out looking for him, upset because they are missing a son. As Ventus had already been branded a Pridelander for a while and still showed little enthusiasm towards her, something had to be done. It was as if no one else cared about his past.
Makima reached the tree and squatted, sighing. She felt almost ashamed to be there and for a few moments debated whether or not to call Rafiki. But there was something about that cub that had her worried every time she saw him; excluding how he came to be in the Pridelands. Assuming that her presence was already known, she quietly called up to the tree, her blue eyes staring into the horizon while her ears remained back.

Ooc: Of course, the more the merrier!
Bic:After climbing through the branches a bit more, the baboon could make out a figure resting out in the field. However he thought about it, and went back quickly to grab his staff, not that his first intention was to use it as a weapon but he enjoyed keeping it carrying around. Then he headed over to the branches once more as he began to climb out of them. There he could make out a figure of a lion this time. Though he realised who it was his old student but he could gues instantly who she was and why she was here. After climbing out of his tree he jumped down on to the grass and began to speak knowing that the lioness would hear him.
"Rafiki must already know why you are here? Or is it something new that Rafiki can help you with?" He asked Makima as he was walking on three legs over to her side so they could look face to face so she would not have to climb up in the tree with so much effort. His eyes however were not filled with curiousity since the lioness had not come here multiple times, he enjoyed her visit that was for sure but he would help out no matter what her problem was.

Makima could hear leaves rustling above her and glanced up, aware that the baboon was at least in the tree. She felt a mixture of relief and anxiety, and her facial expression showed this even as Rafiki descended the tree. At least the lioness didn't have to attempt to climb the tree; it was much easier done as a cub! Now, she was likely to find the task difficult, especially with such a vertical tree! As a cub, Makima enjoyed climbing trees. Of course, the difficult part was always returning to the ground. All she could think of were members of the pride warning the cubs that, once upon a time, a lioness broke her back trying to climb down. Makima now, in her adulthood, still wasn't sure if the story was fictional.
"Rafiki must already know why you are here? Or is it something new that Rafiki can help you with?"
Makima smiled at Rafiki and nodded her head in greeting, although her expression slowly returned to a neutral look. "It's..." she started, struggling to find the right words. All of a sudden the lioness, despite knowing why she was there, could not put her thoughts into words. Makima bit her lower lip and turned her head to the grass, inhaling deeply. "Ventus." She finally said. "I'm.. just worried about him, Rafiki. He must have a family out there." The lioness turned back to the baboon, blue eyes wide. "I am glad he has us to look after him, but.. I can't help but think there is a family out there missing him."

Rafiki had gone into think as he listened to what Makima had to say. Sure it was true he found Ventus as a young cub. But he couldn't help but think the same too about him. But with parents, one of them would have been nearby him and claimed him first before, he had come to aid the young cub. "Rafiki also noticed this. But the thing that Rafiki can't get over is that a family member would have come by, by now to retrieve him. And since none has that may mean no one is here for him." He added as he looked back up at his tree wondering if the ancestors of their past had some sort of answers for them. But to his disappointment, they hadn't been really speaking, more like silence was all that he received. That was a big help, he wasn't even sure if he knew if he could aid Simba with his own problems on continuing the pride if they weren't speaking. The other thought he had, was maybe they would tell him in time, he just had to have some patients. Rafiki recalled back to when Scar and Mufasa had many problems of their own. Their old king had gone to him to many problems like his present pupil had done so today.
