Again, he had that nightmare. The nightmare of others screaming, crying and he could do nothing to save them, to help them. He was frozen in place as the blurred images danced around his form, his eyes tightly shut. All he could do was say he was sorry, over and over again until he believed himself, which he never did. In moments that blur became nothing and all he could feel was pa in, something was running down his face, his mouth drew in blood. It was bitter, was he bleeding? Again another blow and his body was about to cave in, suddenly he was being lifted and flung into the air. It was then everything went black in his voice, only the screams echoed in his mind, something touched him and Ventus cried out. He felt like he was being suffocated, his body was tense and shivering. "ventus!"
a voice called out he could hear it, but he couldn't see wher eit was coming from. He began shaking "ventus, boy wake up!" His eyes shot open revealing odd blue colored eyes, he was panting and his body drenched in sweat. Glancing up he saw Rafikis concerned face as he had him by the shoulders. Ventus sighed, and pushed away from the monkeys hands.Rafiki shook his head at the young lion, a head shake that meant, what am I to do with you? Ventus kept his face emotionless as Rafiki thought, and before long the monkey turned to face him, his expression normal again. Ventus relaxed a bit, not another lecture on fighting his dreams again, he just couldn't. "Ventus, Simba wished to see you." The grey lion glanced up at the monkey, startled. What would the king want with him anyway?Rafiki motioned with his hands for him to get moving, and the cub just nodded once and got to his paws. Without another word he trotted out of the den that sat just below Rafiki's tree, the tree of life as they called it. Glancing back just once he turned away, his eyes landing on the outline of Pride Rock, where the king wished to see him. He was nervous each paw step was hesitant as he moved, trying not to let on his uneasy, usually he was good at hiding such things, but now? The emotion was to strong, what could Simba want? Still the cub made his way over the hunting fields, his eyes rested on some of the lioness's that were already forming a hunting party. They awknowledged him as he walked by, though they seemed just as curious as to why he was walking towards Pride Rock, Ventus never went to Pride Rock. He could hear them whispering to each other, and slowly they followed him. Bunch of nosy fur balls. he thought with an eye roll as he continued on his way, but to get to Pride Rocks steps he needed to go through the clearing, the clearing where all of the lions and lioness's relaxed during the day. He could feel their eyes burning into his pelt, they knew who he was they knew he was meant to stay with Rafiki, though the last time they saw him must have been when he was all mangled up, and now here he was walking strong. He paused to look in there directions, nodding once before he started walking again. Lifting his head he could see Simba at the top of Pride Rock, his golden pelt gleamed, and his eyes turned onto him. He disappeared then, and Ventus stopped in his tracks. Not sure whether to keep going or to wait. Perhaps Simba was meeting him down here, and so with that thought in mind he sat back onto his hunches and waited for the king to make his appearance. Night woke up this fine morning with a good nights rest. The sun was already up, so she quickened her pace. She was supposed to be going out hunting with some of the other lionesses. The cubs were still fast asleep, so she had nothing to worry about at the moment. When she wasn't hunting or anything else, Night liked to take care of the cubs. They were so adorable, and it also gave her extra practice for when she had her own cubs someday. If I ever get a mate. she sighed to herself. It seemed that none of the males in the pride were interested in her. Night thought that it was because she was different. But she knew that being different was just fine. She help her head up high and continued walking. As she was heading over to meet the other lionesses, Night spotted a cub. He was different, which apparently stuck a spot of gossip with a couple lionesses. Night saw that the cub was waiting for someone, so why not use the opportunity to go meet him? With a smile she headed over his way. Night felt a pang of sympathy for the cub. He was different, just like she was. As Night got closer to the cub, she spotted the same couple lionesses a little ways away, still gossiping. With a small growl, Night made it apparent to the two lionesses to leave. They had scared looks on their faces and instantly darted away. Night smiled to herself, knowing that being scary wasn't always a bad thing. She padded up to the cub and greeted him. "Hello. I haven't really noticed you around before. What's your name?" Night asked the cub, hoping that he wasn't too busy to stop and chat.

Ventus could feel everyones eyes on him like he was a piece of meat to tear into. It was uncomfortable, and it was really starting to annoy him. Still he kept his emotionless expression in tact and just waited, thats all it seemed like he was doing, just waiting. Waiting for something to change, waiting to know who he really was. Rafiki said the chances of his memory ever coming back was really slim, and that he should try to form new ones, but the truth was, he was terrified. Deep down he felt abandoned, and when ever he thought of getting close to anyone he felt like they would just up and leave him, like his memories did. Leaving his mind to rot and forget, to be alone once again. The grey lion flicked his ears forward as he heard someone walking towards him, his slate blue eyes flicked over to the form of a lioness with darker fur. His eyes narrowed ever so slightly as he looked her over, he had seen her around once or twice. Well since most lioness's passed by Rafkiki's often, Night he thought her name was.
Though he was pretty sure of it, still he shrugged it off and turned to look back up at Pride Rock. She would probably just walk by him anyways, though he was surprised to hear a small growl escape her maw and the sound of paws dashing away. He could feel the burn of their gazes leaving his pelt, and he could relax, if just slightly. Still he could hear light paw steps now coming his direction, and he turned his head to meet with Night's who was staring down at him. He was quite, as was she, and just stared up at her, every time he met someone he hoped it would spark a memory but as always it did not, and he turned to look at his paws. "Hello. I haven't really noticed you around before. What's your name?"
It felt odd for him to hear another voice, he was so used to Rafiki's that he didn't remember what other voices sounded like. He looked back up at her, his face calm and unreadable as he nodded his head in greeting. He was not surprised that she had not heard of him, or seen him, he was usually cooped up in Rafiki's tree. "Not surprised, I... don't get out much." he answered his voice cool yet slightly monotone. He rolled his shoulder blades to get comfortable a bit, since Simba was taking his time getting down here. "Im Ventus, Ven for short. You can call me which ever you like." he answered , flicking his grey blue eyes up at her, she seemed friendly enough. He heard heavy paw steps reach his ear shot and glanced up to see Simba hopping down from Pride Rock. He seemed to be contemplating something, but he noticed the two of them and dipped his head. His red mane flowing over him, like fire. He looked like a king with that royal golden pelt, while he looked like ash that blew during the fire seasons. Ventus turned his gaze on the older lion, waiting patiently for what he had to say. His ears perked up wondering what it was he wanted from him. Still Simba seemed to be looking for someone, or for something, a sign maybe since he turned his gaze to the skies.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/sub]

Night watched the cub look towards her. "Not surprised, I... don't get out much." The cub answered. Night nodded her head in understanding. She didn't get out much unless she had to be hunting with the other lionesses. "Im Ventus, Ven for short. You can call me which ever you like." Ventus told her. "Well, nice to meet your Ven. I'm Night, in case you didn't know my name yet." She told him. Night was about to ask Ven who he was waiting for when she heard large pawsteps coming towards them. Night looked up to see Simba coming down from the top of Pride Rock. His golden pelt sparkled in the sunlight, and his large red mane shone like a roaring fire. I'm glad my pelt is shiny too. Night laughed to herself. Simba had his eyes on Ventus, so she knew that was who Ventus was waiting for the whole time. I wonder what the King wants with Ventus? Night asked herself. When the King was in hearing range she bent her head to him. "Good morning, King Simba." Night greeted him. She knew that Ventus and the King needed some time to talk, so she nodded to Ventus and left out of hearing range of the two lions. She would join Ven again once he was done talking with Simba.
