CAN YOU GO INTO MORE DETAIL PLEASE
hei isn't the largest lion around. sure, he is an adolescent and should not yet be full grown, but his size is less that than even some younger male lions that has he met, and some females. although his build makes him less of a fighter, he is quick on his paws and agile, with delicate moving with a master of physical ability. lean, powerful muscles in his fore and back legs; along with a muscular abdominal assists his speed and less than average build. he is well shaped, with a strong looking head that is attributed with a powerful jaw, something common amongst the males. powerful jaws have descended down from the history of lions, given to lionesses for an inept ability to drag their kill across long distances, and for lions who need to fight to defend their family from intruding males. hei shares the trait, but he visibly lacks the muscular strength and power to lay a blow strong enough to win a battle. therefore he must rely on speed that came as a gift from his smaller form.[/sub]
hei has a pelt of pale tan, or a light tan, depending on the eye of colour. it is not as golden as other lions in the area, but this is what he has gained from his non-pride land family. hei's fur is soft and sleek, dark from the night he travels in. many lions prefer to hunt at night and sleep during the day, finding the shade in the rough, hot savanna. hunting at night also insures better stealth, with a less chance of being seen by their prey. lone male's need such skills. hei's speed may allow him to catch prey that has spotted him, but the element of surprise gives him a better chance to give a quick blow than risk losing a show of strength with another mammal. like most lions, he has a pale cream underbelly, possibly from slinking low to the ground and keeping a light hold to the colour of the fur.
hei has a black mane, which many golden maner's attribute to evil. this may or may not be the case, but his mane seems to display a darkness to him that is not visible within his pelt. his mane is not full grown, as he is just an adolescent, but it is growing still as his body prepares to the full fledge of adult-hood. oddly enough, his black as the same colour as his mane, adding an extra dark touch to his pelt. probably the only one left. hei has blue eyes, not uncommon, but outweighed greatly by golden and gray. his eyes were taken from his mother, who was also a blue-eyed lion, and it is one thing he treasures as a link back to his real family.
WHAT ARE YOU LIKE?
hei is a mysterious male. he has no territory and has no intentions of ever making any. he has no family, nearby of that he knows of, and doesn't like to stay in a place for too long because it can be dangerous. he is well aware of the way of the world. if you aren't a pride lion, or in a group of lions, you were nothing more than the hyenas that scavenged the plains looking for victims instead of hunting like noble cats. hei's disgust for scavenger is obvious. he is completely intolerance of anything of the sort. hyena's are a waste of skin that could be used spent making a real animal, like a lion, or even zebra and hippo that feed the lions. although hei isn't that proud of his own species, he has enough pride to set them apart from any scavenging coward.[/sub]
hei lives alone. he prefers it that way. he doesn't like being with others and having cats bother him. he expects them all to be the same. intolerance, cold, ungrateful, and killers. hei's attitude outwardly is that of mysteriousness. he wears an emotionless expression most of the time, refusing to let others see his thoughts, hardly getting angry, scared, or other feelings. he feels pain, much, and he can't control the visible effect of that feeling. he knows he's fast, and he knows he can probably dodge many things that other lions, especially males, could not. he knows he can't land powerful, neck breaking blows, or bone snapping bites, but he can tire them out, at least, by dodging around and avoiding the attacks until he can land a strike. he doesn't have to kill to survive. just make them a non threat, and then he goes his own way. he is an extremely low maintenance male. he needs no one to tell him what to do or how to do it. even if he was told, he wouldn't listen anyways. he is very enigmatic to those who don't know him; almost everyone.
hei isn't afraid of doing whatever it takes to ensure his survival, or, what he feels is important. he is extremely righteous. to him, it is all about what he believes and no one else can think for him. being born to a pride doesn't guarantee being an intelligent lion that can automatically know what everyone else thinks/cares about. hei takes deep pride in thinking for himself. from the outside, he looks like a sad, reserved, and shy cat. he avoids eye contact and that emotionless look in his eyes can often be replaced by loneliness and sorrow. but they don't really know him.
YOUR FAMILY TREE
[/sub]
- mother: misaku - she looks a lot like hei, except she has no mane, and her body has a larger form. she is a loving mother who misses her cub. one day, a male lion attacked her cubs and she chased him away. when she came back, she could find only one of her cubs, hei's brother. hei was hiding in the bushes, too afraid to come out, and asleep from stress. he was unable to hear his mother's cries. by the time he woke up, his distraught mother had wandered off with his brother. misaku raised her remaining cub to be an honourable male adolescent. he would be on his way to be a pride leader, if he so chose. she was very proud of him, but she never forgot her other cub, whom she wishes she could find one day.
- father: li - li was a huge lion with a dark brown mane. he mated with misaku over two years ago. he does not know his sons exist and does not care. like most rogue lions he takes a mate, mates, and moves on. never does he return to watch his cubs grow. he died in a fight for territory with two other lions. no one ever knew.
- brother: mao - mao had a close relationship with his brother, like most siblings. the two fought and played and dreamed until the fateful day where his brother disappeared and mao followed his mother to a new place. at first he was struck in to a gloomy, sullen mood. it took days for him to venture out again. but he has lived with his mother since then, becoming a noble lion who still thinks about another cub at his side, but he has forgotten hei. he asks his mother who that faint memory he played with was, and she would never answer. now he is an adolescent, much, much larger than hei with a brown mane and brown eyes.
- foster mother: sirsi - after misaku had left, sirsi found hei wandered alone over the fields. she had three cubs of her own, but she was a lioness and she was nursing, and there was no way she could possibly leave this poor cub to die all alone. she took him in and cared for him like he was one of her own. though she did tend to favour her own cubs above him, she still loved him the way any lioness would do to her own cubs. sirsi was another rogue lioness. she was an average sized lioness with brown eyes. one day, when her cubs were old enough to fight and hunt, she went off to hunt and never returned. today she has a new group of cubs, and she lives with some other lionesses and a pride lion. she hasn't forgotten her old cubs, or her foster cubs, and regrets leaving them behind, but that is the life of a rogue. if only she could find them now and let them live the pride life with her.
- foster brother: huang - huang never liked hei. ever since his mother took in the foster cub it seemed as though she never paid him as much attention, even though she paid him more than hei. he felt as though hei had cheated away his mother. he treated hei as such, and made sure the smaller cub never felt welcome in his den. with such spite, he made hei grow hard and cold, and, ultimately, drove the foster cub away from the family, to huang's content. huang is a huge black maned adolescent with gray eyes. he now lives with his siblings, in his own little 'territory'.
- foster sister: yin - a small pale tan lioness. she is still bigger than hei. her smallness was as a cub, and then she grew, outgrowing hei by the time he left. she liked him when he came to them, but was driven by her brother to make him feel unwelcome, and although she felt guilty, there was nothing she could do but watch a perfectly capable friendship turn to dust. she now lives with her brother. she has her own cubs now, two of them, both males.
- foster sister: amber - a golden brown lioness with golden eyes. she was medium sized from birth and is still medium sized now. she had no bad or good feelings for hei. he was just her foster brother, no more or no less. she lives with her brother and sister now, but seems to wander off some days and not return for awhile. when she returns, she never says where she has been.
SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT
it wasn't the heat, surely, that was getting to him. no, it wasn't even the thirst, the terribly, dry and slow ache in his throat that spoke of a need for water, though there was no water around for him to drink. somehow he found himself in the midst of an endless dry section of the lands, and, no matter how far he looked, or how long he walked, he couldn't find the end of it. he had forgotten which path he had taken in, as he had gone in circles for many paths, and, the sun was in the centre of the sky now, offering him no guidance for the way of the skies. his lack of bodily strength seems to be against him now. he didn't have the strength to keep going. sure he had left to struggle to move, but he just feel weighed down with exhaustion, his paws like blocks of stone and his legs as stiff as beech bark. his parched tongue did nothing but add to his obvious discomfort.[/sub][/color][/size]
he would complain about the dehydration, but he didn't have a clear enough mouth to open it. everything seemed molded together in a dry, obvious manner. he kept going though, for longer than he had imagined he could, tail going lower, more submissive. in the distance, he saw trees. in the distance, he heard running water. but that was all he heard. his body couldn't go any further. without the proper fuel, his body couldn't move. he collapsed in the sand, sighing in exhaustion and lay in a dirt, too weak to walk, too weak to think.
/// sorry. this is short. my rp sample is usually pretty long and decent. however, i wasn't working hard at this at all. xD
